Color Factory San Francisco

Welcome to the Color Factory! Sometimes all you need is a splash of color and that’s what you’ll get at this awesome place! The Color Factory is a two-story pop-up museum in San Francisco that celebrates color and material, featuring work by some of their favorite artists and collaborators: Jacob Dahlgren, Tom Stayte, Geronimo Balloons, Tosha Stimage, Stanton Jones, Andrew Neyer & Andy J. Miller, Carissa Potter, Jessica Hische, Rebecca Wright, Randi Brookman Harris, Leah Rosenberg and Erin Jang.

You can lose yourself in 10,000 colored ribbons, or sink into a giant yellow ball pit (my favorite). I was able to get a ticket right before the Color factory decided to move, so you can’t visit it anymore in San Francisco, but not to fear, they will announce there next location on Instagram (@colorfactoryco) sometime soon so keep checking! Take a look inside the world of The Color Factory!

Yellow Ball Pit Room

Can I just take a break from adulating and be a kid again? This bright yellow room not only gave me positive vibes but allowed me to be a kid again, reminiscing on the old days when everyone had their birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese and we would all play in the ball pit. The pool looks like it’s deep but it’s actually very shallow so no jumping is allowed. There are about four camera stations where you can swipe the card that they give you at the beginning of the tour to capture and send pictures to your email.

Green Coloring Room

This was another really cool room where you could draw all over the walls, with a giant liquid marker. The hard part about this was that there were only three markers, so you had to wait your turn and the walls were covered with writing and filled in color so it was hard to see what kind of masterpiece you made at the end.

Confetti Room

This was one of the most popular rooms that the Color Factory had! People can spend hours in this room throwing confetti up in the air and/or at friends. Briannna and I spent a lot of time in this room perfecting out 1…2…3… countdown to get the timing right but it was hard.

Blue Balloon Room
Yo listen up, here’s the story about a little guy that lives in a blue world and all day and all night and everything he sees is just blue like him, inside and outside, blue his house with a blue little window and a blue Corvette and everything is blue for him and himself and everybody around ’cause he ain’t got nobody to listen…
I’m blue da ba dee da ba daa da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba da….

That’s all I have to say.
Disco Room

Boogie fever! This Disco-ball room is where you can dance your heart out on the glitter dance floor to Justin Timberlake and other various artists by pressing the song you want to hear on the wall.

Ribbon Room

After seeing this room all over Instagram, I was stoked to finally be able to see it! It was so much fun wandering through the ribbons trying to find the light to guide you out (it’s dark once inside)

Orange Room

This room took me all the way back with its vintage feel and all over orange decorations. With Cheetos and orange soda displayed I think i’ll stay for a while and get comfy.

Instagram Selfie Room

This room was a little confusing because you couldn’t really tell what it was, but It had a computer and printer set up on a small desk in the middle of the room, and whenever someone would post a photo on Instagram with the hashtag selfie (#selfie) the printer in the room would print out a photo on purple paper. The floor was covered with Instagram selfies from millions of people using the hashtag. If we would have known more about this room I definitely would have named it Brianna, because she is The Selfie queen!

Rainbow Hall

This narrow hallway has an array of lights in all different colors leading you towards the confetti room and the yellow ball pit room. It was a nice place to stop and take pictures to get a colored background spicing up the picture, and bringing the color to life!
