I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream!

Ice cream…everyone loves it, right? California produces the most ice cream in America, and as a girl who loves ice cream, I had to find out the scoop about this “Museum of Ice Cream .” Located in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, this museum is known for its bright colors, celebrity sightings, and Instagramable backgrounds. Lucky for me they just so happened to be opening up a new location in my favorite city, San Francisco...so you know I had to go! The Museum of Ice Cream is located on 1 Grant Avenue, a San Francisco Landmark built as a bank in 1910.

Let’s talk tickets! These tickets that can only be purchased online will cost you $38 per person and are non-transferable. Children younger than the age of 3 do not need a ticket and all tickets purchased through third parties will not be accepted. Getting these tickets was pretty difficult because they only offer a certain amount of tickets and since it’s fairly new tickets are sold out for 2017 through 2018. Even though tickets are sold out, the Museum of Ice Cream offers random pop-up sales where you can get tickets for select dates at select times. This is how I was able to get my tickets, but not without having two friends help me try and get these tickets online. After almost 40 minutes of waiting in the virtual queue, I was finally in! The bad news was that the time and date that I wanted kept showing sold out, but some how I kept trying and was to get the date and the time slot perfectly matching my upcoming trip to San Francisco. I was stoked that I was able to finally get my hand on these tickets!

Tomorrow, January 9th, 2018 at 11 am PST the Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco is having another pop- up sale so make sure and get your laptops ready!

Now that you have the scoop on The Museum of Ice Cream, check out all of the cool things that I was able to see below! Let’s go!

The Ice Cream Vault

When you first arrive you will be greeted by an awesome staff member with a cool cream name! Once in line take a look around because the people that are in line with you will be on your team. Our team name was the Chocolate Chip Mints. Pink is one of my favorite colors, and the entrance leading down to the Ice Cream Vault is a blast of pink! From pink flooring to pink walls,  you’ll be in pink heaven as soon as you walk in.

The Old-Fashioned Soda Fountain Shop.

Listen to some tunes and get yourself a little treat provided by San Francisco’s Bi-Rite Creamery at this station. We were able to try the new Peach Bellini flavor which was amazing! Make sure you finish it all because once you’re in you can only go forward and not backwards.

The Unicorn Room

It’s a vibe! Check out the Unicorn room where you get a Unicorn milk ice cream cone that’s pretty tasty! Dare to ride the Unicorn if you’re brave.

Boogie Fever

This was pretty cool and not to mention fun! The line for this was kind of long but definitely worth it! Its a little box that you have to crawl into but once you get in you’ll feel like you are inside a disco ball!

The Statement Wall

Texas I tried! This room was full of magnetic letters from A-Z allowing you to spell out any thing you want. Me and my Dad tried to make the shape of Texas, which was harder than it seemed, but I think we did pretty well for our first try. You can even get some cotton candy with this cool girl if you need a little sugar rush.

Everything Above

Cherries, gummy bears, popsicles oh my! Theres so much to see in the Museum of Ice Cream but these rooms are some of my favorite photographable spots! How cool is this banana swing? It’s at the very end but you can’t miss it.

Last but not least…

The Sprinkle Pool!

This is the icing on the cake or should I say sprinkles on top! My Dad refused to get in at first, but then ended up the main one who loved the sprinkle pool more than anyone else. Overall the Museum of Ice Cream is something that everyone should experience at least once in my opinion! It’s super fun for all ages and is sure to put a smile on your face!
