It’s wedding season! Autumn continues to be the chosen wedding season over any other season for couples to get hitched. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a wedding at the Kendall Plantation, set atop a hill in the beautiful quiet Texas Hill Country with a wrap-around porch, rolling hills, cool breezes, and gorgeous scenery.
I’ve never had such a hard time trying to finding a wedding dress, but luckily I was able to pick up this gorgeous C/MEO Collective dress at Bevello at the Quarry. It was the last one so I’m thankful to the ladies that were helping me, because I could not make a decision for the life of me. I was also able to find these Chinese Laundry Lalli dress sandal next door at Hemline on sale for $10! What a steal, right?
The first thing that I knew I had to consider when looking for my outfit was what season we were in, and the location of the venue. During the fall season, a lot of wedding guest dresses are characterized by velvet, satin, silks, and shimmering materials. Heavier fabrics and various types of prints are also used to tie into the fall weather.
I wanted a dress that was unique and different rather than the “generic” choices, which is why I decided to shop small and support my local boutiques. This helped make sure that I didn’t run the risk of bumping into another guest that had on the same dress as me. Below are a few ways to achieve this look plus an example of another chic guest wearing a trending fall style.

I absolutely loved this look! Not only did her dress incorporate this beautiful metallic gold tone (which is in style right now), it also incorporated pleats allowing her to showcase a bit of feminine detailing which generates sexiness with a hint of reserve. See the look below.
